Getting here

Wallaroo Outback Retreat is located approximately 8 hours drive North West of Brisbane. When travelling from Brisbane, head West to Toowoomba, then Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles and then on to Roma, which is your last major town before arriving at Wallaroo. Turn and head North to Injune.
Wallaroo Outback Retreat will be found another 65km North of Injune on the Carnarvon Highway, after crossing the mighty Dawson River three times.
Approximately 5km past the third Dawson River crossing you’ll spot the ‘Wallaroo Rock’ on the right-hand side of the highway. Turn here and follow the gravel road down the range.
You’ll then come to an intersection where you will turn right over a cattle grid.
After another 400m turn right and you shall have reached your destination – time to relax and enjoy that well-earned drink!

If you are travelling from the North, make your way to Rolleston and head South towards Injune.
After about 104km you’ll come to a narrow sandstone cutting at the top of which you’ll see a rest stop.
Just 1km past this you’ll find the ‘Wallaroo Rock’ on the left-hand side. Turn here and follow the above directions into Wallaroo Outback Retreat.
